A cooking oil that’s come to be known as Asia’s Olive Oil (aka the Mediterranean’s Camellia Oil) for its healthy lipid profile. It has a light hazelnutty flavor, and a high smoke point. A gloriously healthy base for a stir fry or a salad dressing.

White Sesame Oil
A good sesame oil is a core ingredient for so many cold-dressed salads, stir fries, and noodle dishes. Dress up anything with a drizzle of this and a handful of chopped cilantro.

Traditional Firewood Soy Sauce
This all-purpose soy sauce is naturally fermented and finished over firewood. It’s bright with a sweet profile and an anisette finish.

Sesame and Peanut Paste
How often have you had to sub tahini when you couldn’t find a decent sesame paste for your cold noodle? This goes one step further, mixing peanuts with sesame to create an essentially Taiwanese flavor profile. It’s cool to be a peanut in Taiwan.

Bang Tea Red Oolong winter ‘23

Tea is not only essential to Taiwanese daily life, but also to Taiwanese identity and agriculture. Special to this bundle, we bring you Bang Tea’s fall ‘23 red oolong, sourced from a family farm in Lugu, Nantou, Taiwan. With a medium roast, it’s a bit of a chameleon. Shorter brew times reveal nuance and complexity; but it’s also suitable for long-brewing, resulting in a bold, intense flavor.

Ga Ji Dai Gift Box
The outer box is silkscreened and printed in Taiwan, inspired by Ga Ji Dai, a traditional Taiwanese market tote in a technicolor palette. Designed by our friends and collaborators O.OO, a Taipei-based design studio and print shop.
