The 6-cup is a smaller size that has the same functionality as the 11-cup, but fits less. For example, instead of using a whole fish for steamed fish, you might need to use a fillet. It’s a great size for an individual who loves to cook, a couple, or a small family. Or, if you want to save on counter space.
The 11-cup is a great size for a mid- to large-sized household or even an individual who loves to host. It can make rice for your day-to-day, but also scale up for a party in a pinch.

HISTORY
When the Tatung was developed in the mid-20th century, many Taiwanese households cooked with coal briquettes. Though homes were gaining access to electricity, supply was low. The Tatung was engineered to draw low wattage while cooking multiple dishes at once.
