Introducing the Island of Dao: Taiwanese Rice Collection, a set of three single-origin Taiwanese rices grown by three farmers.
Dao is the rice plant, signifying more than just its grains. In Taiwan, dao has long nourished communities and shaped terrain. To honor its significance to Taiwan's culinary heritage, Taiwanese cultural kitchen Siang kháu Lū brought this collection together to represent one cultivar from each of the main varieties of rice cultivated in Taiwan.

Penglai Short-Grain Rice
The quintessential everyday rice of Taiwan: plump, moist, and Q (al dente), with a taro-like aroma.
Zailai Long-Grain Rice
The go-to for rice-based foods like rice cakes and luo bo gao: firm and loose grains with a delicate aroma
PURPLE GLUTINOUS RICE
A whole-grain sticky rice: soft, tacky grains with a deep purple hue and a fragrant, nutty flavor.
