TATUNG FAQs

The 6-cup is a smaller size that has the same functionality as the 11-cup, but fits less. For example, instead of using a whole fish for steamed fish, you might need to use a fillet. It’s a great size for an individual who loves to cook, a couple, or a small family. Or, if you want to save on counter space.

The 11-cup is a great size for a mid- to large-sized household or even an individual who loves to host. It can make rice for your day-to-day, but also scale up for a party in a pinch.

Yes. Each rice cooker comes with a limited one-year warranty against manufacturer defects. Details are provided in the Tatung user manual, which is included in every package.

Yes. The Table of Rice to Water Cooking Ratios is located in the Tatung user manual, which is included in every package. This table is a general suggestion for short-grain white rice. Depending on the type of rice used and the desired texture, the amount of water may need to be adjusted.

Please note: the Tatung rice cup refers to the rice cup provided in the box. It holds 180 ml (different than a US cup measure).

Yes, all the Tatung components are dishwasher safe.

The Tatung steamers we distribute are designed for 110-120V, which is standard in the US. If you'd like to use your Tatung steamer in a country with 220V power, you will need to use a 'step down' transformer that converts 220V to 110V, and then plug the appliance into that transformer. We recommend this one with 2000W, but any quality step-down transformer with adequate wattage will work.

Package Forwarding Services: Some of our customers use a package forwarding service, such as Shipito or forward2me, to receive packages in the US and forward them anywhere in the world.

Overseas Tatung Distributors: Tatung's overseas distributor page lists companies worldwide that sell Tatung products, and they may offer shipping to your country.
