Leicha Tasting
Come sample some nourishing Leicha on Saturday 10/25, 12–4pm. Leicha (擂茶) is a Taiwanese Hakka specialty - a stone-ground tea made from 20+ grains, seeds, legumes, and tea leaves, packed with plant-based protein and fiber, and completely dairy-free.

Oolong Tea Tasting
On Sunday, October 19th, Sam Tilney, the founder of BANGtea, will be in our Brooklyn shop all day for a guided tea tasting, featuring ball-rolled high-mountain oolong teas from our tea collection.

Store Anniversary Party and Book Launch
On the occasion of the third birthday of the store, we’re throwing a party to celebrate the launch of TAIPEI, a new photo book by our friend Ibi Ibrahim and designed by Yenwei Liu, documenting morning walks through our favorite big city. Join us at the store for a very proper Taiwanese summer kick-off. Lion dance at 7pm.

Stinky Wind: A Radish Talk and Tasting
Join us at the new Yun Hai studio in Long Island City on April 12th for a talk and radish tasting with George Lee, the author of Taiwanese cookbook A-Gong’s Table. Yun Hai is excited to host George in our studio for a presentation on Meinong cuisine and a discussion and Q&A with founder Lisa Cheng Smith. This will be followed by a tasting of traditional dishes and radish preserves, seldom seen outside of Meinong.
